Kabbadi Premier League

members of KPL

It all started with the Premier Hockey League about seven years ago, a concept which gave a new dimension to the sport, thanks to the initiative of ESPN-Star Sports television network. Though it has been subsequently shelved for different reasons despite being immensely popular for giving the hockey fans a rare treat of players from across the world turning up for the teams like Hyderabad Sultans, Sher-e-Jalandhar. It has also been the trend-setter for other disciplines like cricket first (ICL and then IPL) and now for volleyball (Indian Volleyball League) and kabaddi (Kabaddi Premier League).

“We are determined to give a new face to the sport in India,” says K. Jagadishwar Yadav, secretary of Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India, at the launch of the PKL. “Honestly, this PKL was never dreamt of a few years ago. But, now thanks to the efforts of all like-minded officials including the President of AKFI, J.S. Gehlot, and Chairman of KP Consultancy Pvt Ltd, this has become a reality,” says Hyderabad-based Jagadishwar Yadav.

When Vijayawada hosts the inaugural KPL from June 8 to 16, kabaddi, now played across 31 countries, should give a new direction and fresh hope to the players also.

Why Rajni Fled To Singapore???

It is known news that superstar Rajinikanth is currently admitted in Mount Elizabeth hospital in Singapore.
While there were few doubts on this move, here is an interesting aspect. It is heard that Rajini was moved to Singapore on the recommendation of his close friend Amitabh Bachchan.

Apparently, Rajini is suffering from renal infection which is causing complication to his kidneys.
Sources say Big B who has seen his personal friend Amar Singh’s recovery has suggested to Latha, wife of Rajini, to take him there. Also, Big B reportedly spoke to the doctors in Mount Elizabeth hospital on this one.

Incidentally, both Rajini and Amitabh are close friends since their 70s film ‘Andha Kanoon’. Since then, both have been in constant touch and discuss various things about their careers, health, families etc. Big B from his end is all praises for Rajini’s down to earth nature despite his fan following and also about his wife Latha who has been a strong support.

Windows 8 In Start Of 2012

Microsoft has Windows 7 in their plate but still in most of the renounced organization they try to use Windows XP it was a great hit and the worst part for Windows 7 is that it came after Windows Vista and too with almost same appearance. Windows Vista was a flop which might have made the users suspicious about this new reliable OS. After reading the title stated above you must have got an idea that Ballmer has stated about the release of Windows 8 and in this post we will talk more about this news for the release of the next version of Windows.

Steve Ballmer stated that “To date, we have yet to formally announce any timing or naming for the next version of Windows,”. Now this statements puzzled many of us, but we still believe that Windows 8 will be launched in 2012 as before stating it Ballmer clearly mentioned that Windows 8 will be released in 2012. Till now the name of that OS has not been decided so for our convenience we can call that as Windows 8. As per the recent information received for the release of this new OS, Windows 8 will be launched in 2012. If we try to compare the previous 2 releases then I can surely say that Windows 7 was just the correction of Windows Vista and I really do not want to see Windows 8 doing the same. Well now when the release year has been decided as the time approaches Steve Ballmer will become more specific about the release date and now this gives the chance to all the tablet makers to think broad and take Windows 8 in their point of view.

Install Linux From USB Flash Drive

After using the same operating system for a long time, one might look out to have some options and try out some other OS like Linux. But, installing more than one OS in a same machine with the help of USB is a feature which can attract. So, in order to have such a facility in your system one may look towards Universal USB Installer.

Normally, we use optical drives for installing any of the software and especially the operating system in our system. But  some of the laptops come without optical drive, which means that in order to install any of the OS for eg., Linux, you have to install it from an USB device. But here comes the question that how can we get the Linux installation files on the USB device and not only this, but there is another issue that how can we ensure that Linux can be booted and installed from the device? For this, we recommend you a program called Universal USB Installer, which offers this functionality. You can easily make your decision about this and surely can use this program to install Linux on your notebook or laptop.

image
How to configure the USB Device?
Universal USB Installer is a portable, simple and easy to use application which is built for Microsoft Windows operating system. After downloading the setup, you have to install it on your machine just like any other normal software. After installing it, simply run it in order to open the configuration screen. Before you start the program just plug in the USB stick in the system. The program will automatically detect the device and will recognize it. The USB that you are using must have a size of at least 2 Gigabytes. Make sure that it is reasonably fast because copying of files and installation may take a long time or fail if it is too slow.
Once you get the configuration screen on your system, you may select one of the available Linux distributions. As you may see in the above snapshot, after selecting, you can now select an existing ISO image from the local hard drive or you may also download it from other sites. After this, you can just select the USB flash drive letter from the next drop-down menu. In this list, you can see only removable drives attached to the system. Although, you can change that option in order to display all drives, but we won’t recommended it as installation on a local hard drive may break the installed operating system on those drives.
Before starting, it is recommended to format the drive so that all contents stored on it must be erased well before the Linux distribution is copied to it. If you are installing it on a notebook, then you may not require to configure the memory. It is obvious that installation of the Linux distribution on the device takes time, and if the device is not that fast then it takes much more time then anticipated. Below you may see the  progress bar which indicates the remaining time and what is the current state of the copying process.

How to use it from USB?
Once the Linux has been installed on the USB device, you can make use of it. There are two ways by which you can use it. Either you can plug it into the computer to run Linux directly from the device, or there is another option by which you can use it to install Linux on that computer. One thing which you need to do is to enter the BIOS setup in order to change the boot order. The system’s hard drive is usually the first boot device, so you need to change it so that your USB device can be used for booting and it comes first and the hard drive second.

You may download it from the below given link.

Google Street View Data Collection Started In India

Recently we mentioned that now Public Transit information is also available in Delhi and Bangalore and now that they have decided to go for further improvement by introducing Street View in India and they have already started with Bangalore as their first city. In this post we will tell you more about this new feature which is going to be available for all the Indians soon.

Google has already most of the countries under Street View feature; they say that they have covered around 27 countries and now India will be the 28th one, as you can see the image of the vehicles which will be running on the roads of Bangalore to take the data for Street View. First of all allow me to tell you that what is ‘Street View’.

With the help of this feature you will be able to see the streets on Google Maps, if want the direction to a certain location and you want to check the view of that particular location, then just click that option and then it will show you the images of that street, you will feel that you yourself is standing on the road with all the same images around you. This really helps a user to get the real-time feeling of the maps.
For this feature, a huge amount of data is to be collected, so they have cars equipped with cameras which will be recording the view of the streets and in the image you can also see a special tricycle which is known as Trike, used for covering the rural areas where your cars cannot go. So this smart vehicle solves the purpose of recording those streets.

The only disadvantage with this feature is that they need to updates at a regular interval else they will be of no use. We are just waiting for this feature to get rolled on. I hope that this news was useful to you, if you found it genuine then please go on sharing it with your friends and if you have got anything new related to this then please let us know as it might happen that you get a chance you see these vehicles from your eyes and then talk to people collecting the data for Google Maps

Top Android Phones

The Android revolution began about 3 years back and its stunning growth has dwarfed the growth of even iOS (iPhone) as a mobile platform. It is now the most popular mobile OS in the US, and is on its way to becoming the most used mobile OS in the world. It is expected to overtake Symbian soon, and will soon be the Windows of the mobile world.

Unlike Apple which always ignores India when launching new products, most Android manufacturers have made sure that they launch new Android smartphones in India at the same time as the worldwide launch.
As I’ve said before, 2011 is going to be the year of Android. We have seen a lot of exciting devices at CES, MWC and CTIA 2011. Most of these devices will either be launched soon, or have been launched already.
In this post, I will show you the best Android phones that money can buy. Despite the title, the list is relevant to users around the world, not just Indians.

1. Samsung Galaxy S 2

This is definitely the best Android smartphone that money can buy. It has received the best reviews yet, and offers the best overall package, compared to any other Android phone. It is the successor to the most popular Android phone of 2010 – the Samsung Galaxy S.
It has an excellent 4.3 inch SuperAMOLED Plus display which has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It comes with an 8 MP camera which can record 1080p video, a 1.2 GHz dual core Exynos processor, 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with TouchWiz 4.0.
